"Who are our clients?" from the Winter 2008 Newsletter

You have seen our clients. They are in the grocery store, the mall, the discount store and the park. They're all over the county and maybe next door. Our clients are people who have hit a crisis. Maybe it's the loss of a job, or heavy medical bills, or a military family left behind to cope on only a military salary. Our clients are people in transition. Sometimes from a divorce or death of a family member. How many of us could stand up under the load after hearing we have a critical medical condition, and then learning the cost of the medication is higher than our house payment. When you're not making much, it doesn't take much to threaten your future. A high utility bill isn't a problem for most of us, but when you get behind on bills, you lose your car, then your job, and then your home. By helping when people are in crisis, we save a person, a family and a future.
