Lanes Rumble with Contributions for the 2nd Annual Bobby-Sox Fundraiser
Bowlers recently helped score nearly $4,000 at the 2nd Annual Bobby-Sox Bowling Fundraiser for the Assistance Center. Ticket holders also chowed down on juicy hotdogs and hamburgers, practiced karaoke (no “American Idol” candidates yet), and bid on silent auction items at the Plano Super Bowl. Apparently no “300” bowlers played, but it was a true family event, with children belting out tunes and swaying in ‘50s-style hula-hoop contests while adults sharpened their party skills on the bowling lanes.
The Assistance Center offers many thanks to all ticket buyers, silent auction donors, host Plano Super Bowl, and event sponsors. Sponsors included CopyNet, Gay McCall Isaaks Gordon & Roberts, ACS, TXU, Richardson Medical Center, and Legacy Bank. Assistance Center board members Russell Head and Cynthia Dowdey also merit special thanks for their generous donations.
