Volunteer Opportunities
The Assistance Center relies heavily on a group of dedicated volunteers. Without their help, we would not be able to serve the volume of clients we serve each year. Volunteers are the heart of the agency, many have been with us for 10, 15, 20 or more years!
Client Intake Coordinator/Receptionist
ACCC currently has 16 volunteers who assist clients. On average, the volunteers have over 12 years experience with the Center. Each volunteer works a 3.5 hour shift one day each week. They access our interactive database of resource organizations and client history information to assist the clients with their needs.
Special Event Volunteers
We can always use help during our garage sales, our No Gala Gala, School Supply and Plano Santa and many other events. Consider bringing a team from your church, neighborhood, company or Sunday school to work one of our events. The volunteer opportunities are myriad, the results are boundless.
