The Assistance Center of Collin County is a United Way Agency serving the residents of Collin County in the following ways:
- Provide referrals linking those in need with the most appropriate resources.
- Coordinate financial and material assistance to those in need.
- Partner with other agencies and churches in special projects.
- Administer relief funds from EFSP, City of Plano, TXU Energy Aid and United Way.
- Respond to about 24,000 telephone calls each year and numerous walk-in clients.
- Serve the growing Hispanic population in Plano through a bilingual staff assistant.
- Publish "Collin County Cares", a 270-page reference handbook of services.
