The Assistance Center of Collin County is a United Way Agency serving the residents of Collin County in the following ways:

Primary referral service linking those in need with the most appropriate resource.

Coordinate financial and material assistance to those in need.

Partner with other agencies and churches in special projects.

Administer relief funds from EFSP, City of Plano, TXU Energy Aid, TXU Gas, and United Way.

Respond to about 24,000 telephone calls each year and numerous walk-in clients.

A Spanish bilingual staff assistant is available to help serve the growing Hispanic population in Plano.

Publish "Collin County Cares", a 260-page reference handbook of services.
